Reviewed on : 1998-09-04 14:29:52 | In June 1998 near the Spandauer Zitadelle in Bedrlin, the Spandauer Sommerfestspiele produced the german version of Viel Laerm Um Nichts at the Freilichtbuehne Zitadelle. The director, Petra-Maria Popp, directed an energetic and effervescent version of Beatrice and Benedict's story. Axel Strothmann and Rita Grote starred as the sparring lovers. This performance was one of my favorite and, truth be told, Much Ado sounds just as good in German as it does in English.
